Beef and Barley Stew

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 lb beef, cut in 1" cubes 
  • 1 cup barley, uncooked 
  • 3 cups beef stock
  • 1 medium yellow onion chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Wildtree Garlic Grapeseed Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Wildtree Scampi Blend
  • 2 tablespoons flour
PREPARATION:

Heat oil over medium high heat in a sauce pan. Saute beef cubes and onion in oil for about 5 minutes. Add broth, cooked barley, Scampi blend, and flour.  Stir until flour is incorporated. Lower heat and simmer for 30 minutes.

WILDTREE TIP: Optional: Place all ingredients into a slow cooker except the barley. Cook for 6 hours on low. Add uncooked barley and cook for another two hours.
